Day 4 of 2013

I’m back!  It’s been a week heck of a week.  Did you know that 75% of all couples get engaged between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day?  Even if couples get engaged at the end of the year, almost everyone waits until the first week of January to start wedding planning.  Tis the season!

So, on top of 8 consultations, I have hired a new planner (more on that later), and am starting to go bananas on my May wedding (full planning in 5 months).  Oh, and I am up to my elbows with the fabulous event at the James (have you signed up yet)?  Last but not least, I’m written my New Year’s Resolutions.

I’ve written New Year’s Resolutions every year since I was 16 years old.  It’s extremely satisfying to take the time to reflect on the last year of your life and invigorating to think about goals for your future.  The very definition of a Blogger is to share, however, I don’t care to shout across the world my new resolutions.  I consider them deeply personal.

I will say that most of my resolutions continue on a theme that began a few years ago.  The theme isn’t mine, it belongs to a dear friend, who deemed that she was going to turn this year into “Small and Tight”.  The mantra focuses on letting go of the stuff that you don’t love but also, not loving too many things.  It sounds perfect to me.

PS. Look what was in my stocking… my own website!  I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it but I loved the surprise from my husband.

Have a great weekend!
