Happy Valentine’s Day! While others may be thinking of roses or chocolates, why not come up with something a little bit more personal?

The term “boudoir” actually means a women’s private sitting room or salon.  Photography, however, has given boudoir a whole new meaning. Boudoir photography started as early as the 1920s, featuring female powerhouses such as Clara Bow, Mae West, and Jean Harlow.


Modern boudoir photography features intimate and sensual photos. These photos make a great gift for your partner: on your the wedding day, the first anniversary (can you think of a better paper gift?), or for a special occasion like Valentine’s Day!

…but an album of boudoir pictures is a modern twist!


Metropolitan Images is having an intimate moments marathon on November 21st and 22nd.

$400 gets you an hour long photo shoot at a couture hotel downtown, a private online gallery, a small pocket album with 30 images and a disc of all of the images. Hair and make-up artist will be on site for an additional fee.

Jai Girard Photography is taking b-pics to a whole new level. She is offering an exclusive opportunity to be photographed by our team partner and legendary PLAYBOY photographer. The shoot can be scheduled at the Playboy studios or at your home. Prices start at $1450.

Married ladies, the first anniversary gift is supposed to be paper. I think this would be a much more fun gift than some monogrammed stationary!

All I have to say is WOW.

Rachael Michael from Metropolitan Imageworks shot these photos at a recent b-pic marathon. What is that exactly? Rachael rents out a hotel room for a weekend and offers an hour long boudoir photoshoot.




Rachael is very talented. As a member of the WPJA, she has won a Top 10 image award. Rachael also photographs weddings and portraits as well as commerical work.

Interested in her next photoshoot?

  • March 7th & 8th in Chicago – accepting names for waiting list

  • March 29th & 30th in Phoenix – accepting bookings now

  • August 1st 2nd in Chicago – accepting names for waiting list

Rachael is also accepting inquiries for other cities. To travel, she needs at least 10 girls in a particular city to begin the booking process. In addition, there will be a discount for the 1st person in a particular city to spearhead the efforts.
