Christa + Nicholas’ University Club Wedding

Christa and Nicholas had a beautiful summer wedding that incorporated many of the best parts of the city. From their gorgeous ceremony to the lively reception at the University Club of Chicago, every part of the day showcased their love for each other. Their elegant celebration was full of fun and personal touches, all captured beautifully by Kassia Phoy Photography.

Mariana + Matt – The Details

My last post featured Mariana and Matt’s ceremony and reception. Now let’s look at the fun stuff: the details!

Mariana’s purse was so fun! And the perfect shade of purple.

She made these letters to hang on the church doors.

Unique ring bearer pillows and her flower girl’s basket.

These signs designated seating for the bride, groom and immediate family members.

The wedding cake matched their color scheme,
but Mariana had a surprise groom’s cake made for Matt.

Menu cards complemented the rest of the stationery, and were topped off with a purple orchid.

Their guest book contained photographs of Mariana and Matt over the years.

I did the calligraphy for their colorful escort card table.

Favors were Russian nesting dolls tucked into a purple organza bag.

Congratulations, Mariana and Matt! Thanks for letting me be a part of your wedding!

As you may or may not know, Isaac Mizrahi has come out with a bridal gown line for Target. The line received a lot of press. To be frank, I didn’t care for it that much. At best, I thought that the gowns would be perfect for someone looking for a second dress.

Much less publicized was the line of bridesmaid’s gowns and bridal accessories. It’s pure genius. I saw the gowns up close and in person at a wedding a few weeks ago. The bridesmaids looked lovely!
