Julie + John

Julie and John’s wedding was both stylish and classic—the perfect pairing. JPP Studios captured every moment of this special event. I am so thrilled that I had the opportunity to help make Julie and John’s special day so wonderful.

After everyone was ready, it was time to finally tie the knot at the beautiful St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church.

After the ceremony, Julie and John hit the road with their bridal party for photos around the city, and then kept the celebration going at Architectural Artifacts.

Julie, John, and their guests had a fantastic time, and everyone danced, partied, and celebrated the couple’s marriage with such exuberance that nobody wanted to leave! Every aspect of the event was beautiful, and each detail contributed to an absolutely perfect night.

Tana + Ben

Tana and Ben were such a fun couple, and I’m so glad that I got to be an integral part of their special day! Everything about the day was beautiful, from the warm design from Kehoe, to the spectacular sweets table from Calihan Catering! And of course JPP Studios did a fantastic job documenting the entire day, as always.

After everyone got spiffed up and traveled around the city for bridal party photos, it was time for the ceremony… and then the party, of course!

Tana and Ben had a show-stoppingly beautiful wedding, and they had enough fun to match! It was a fantastic night for all, filled with dancing, excitement, and love.

musings #10

It’s been an adventurous two weeks!  I have three new clients and have been searching for the perfect venue for one of them.   The entire team here has been working nonstop on the Bridal Beauty Event.  It’s going to be such a great time!

I love a winter wedding!  I saw these photos on JPP’s website from our wedding together last month.  Is there anything more romantic than an evening snowfall?

It’s been an exciting month for the GLBT community in Illinois.  The Chicago Tribune covers the first wave of weddings in Chicago.  I’ve yet to have to plan a gay wedding but my fingers are crossed for 2014.

If I didn’t have a wedding the weekend of April 5th, I would be at Greer learning calligraphy.

I am a huge fan of L’wren Scott and always dreamed of owning one of her fabulous gowns.  I was truely sad to hear of her passing.  Below is one of my favorite designs of her on Amy Adams for the 2011 Academy Awards.
