Glam Night…I Mean Date Night

Having a signature go-to scent is a must. Whether you’re into something fruity, flowery or airy fresh, you need that one perfume bottle that stands the test of time! I recently received a bottle of Reem Acra Eau de Parfume and have fallen head over heels. Think of a lush, warm, woody fragrance, that will be perfect from running errands to the evening out.

I was so inspired I even created an entire date night look around my new bottle! I can’t get enough of the jewel tones in this look. Complete with a pulled back sock-bun, all I can say is TGIF!

Glam Night...I Mean Date Night

Loving Kate Spade

Ever since Kate Spade left Kate Spade, I have loved the line. Seriously. Back in the day, when all those girls were running around with her fabric hand bags, I would roll my eyes. But now? Completely adore the brand. Just like these fun shoes, Chrisette. They would look fabulous under a wedding dress AND they will look great when you wear them again and again. And you know, you totally would.

Paper Junkies– come in!

I love paper. My love for paper coincided with my love of Hello Kitty! From the age of 5, I would go to this stationary shop in the mall with my babysitter and buy little bits of Hello Kitty! merchandise. If stickers were part of the purchase, then all the better!

At 31, not much else has changed. So when I received my invitation to our Indianapolis engagement party, I leaped for joy! There is nothing I love more in the paper world than lined envelopes!

The actual engagement party was a red theme. Although my future mother-in-law said “no gifts please”, we received a slew of awesome presents. Therefore, we needed to send out thank you cards!

Here are the two cards that I sent out:

Simple yet elegant bold red correspondence card with white border and a red lined envelope from Crane’s.

I didn’t have enough but I broke out another set of cards:

Gorgeous letterpress thank-you cards by Snow + Graham

Enclosed in each thank you card was our wedding website insert:

I didn’t think life could get better– then I received my invitation to the Chicago engagement party.

I feel so lucky!

Am I the only girl that has dreamed of picking out her china?? Thus far, it has been the most exciting completed task on my never ending Task Manager!

While it’s a little early to register, we chose to attend Bloomingdale’s Registry Brunch. While eating our delicious and complimentary brunch, we learned some entertaining tips. There were fun giveaways and demonstrations as well.

My favorite part of the gift registry was that the Registry Consultant set the table for us with our stemware, flatware, linens, and china so that we could get the full effect! I loved it! I forgot to bring my camera– but here are our selections.

Sadly, our crystal has been discontinued. I’m really upset since I LOVED it! I’ve heard this happens very often. It is so frustrating!
