Attending the Spring 2015 Bridal Fashion was not in my fortune.  Luckily, Harper’s Bazaar created a slideshow of the highlights from the week.  My favorites?  Temperly London, Oscar de la Renta, and Naeem Khan.

I adore this short wedding film by Chris + Oliver from Abbie and Mark’s Cafe Brauer wedding.

Oscar de la Renta Resort 2015 collection is amazing.  When I say that Look 38 is my favorite, I mean the entire look.  It’s fabulous.

It was fun to look through this slideshow, 50 Wedding Dresses You’ll Remember From the Movies.

Like the rest of the blogging world, I have started oil pulling.  I however, have not had any success.  My teeth started to hurt after four weeks and I really didn’t see my teeth getting any whiter. This trend is so not for me.

It’s been an adventurous two weeks!  I have three new clients and have been searching for the perfect venue for one of them.   The entire team here has been working nonstop on the Bridal Beauty Event.  It’s going to be such a great time!

I love a winter wedding!  I saw these photos on JPP’s website from our wedding together last month.  Is there anything more romantic than an evening snowfall?

Who doesn’t want a better Instagram?  I found these tips on A Life Well Lived to be super helpful.

It’s been an exciting month for the GLBT community in Illinois.  The Chicago Tribune covers the first wave of weddings in Chicago.  I’ve yet to have to plan a gay wedding but my fingers are crossed for 2014.

If I didn’t have a wedding the weekend of April 5th, I would be at Greer learning calligraphy.

I am a huge fan of L’wren Scott and always dreamed of owning one of her fabulous gowns.  I was truely sad to hear of her passing.  Below is one of my favorite designs of her on Amy Adams for the 2011 Academy Awards.

I read somewhere online that if you are still following your New Year’s Resolutions by February 8th, you will more than likely make it to the end of the year.  I am not sure if that is true but I really believe in New Year Resolutions.

While I have been making New Year Resolutions since I was a teen, I started to make monthly goals this year. Bing sent me these amazing cards so that you can create ten monthly goals each month.

Thanks Bing!

I saw this photo of Kerry Washington and loved her magenta Kotur clutch…partly because it looks so much like my Milly Kendra clutch.  The styles are super similar but my Milly clutch is half the price!

Attending ALT Summit was amazing.  I am going to do a full blog post next week on the conference.  It was such a wonderful opportunity to be in the same room with 700+ other creative types.  Here is one of my favorite quotes from the Thursday key note speaker, Garance Doré .

I love paper and one of my favorite brands is Sugar Paper.  Sugar Paper did a collaboration last year with Target.  It was hard to find as it was limited to only a few stores.  I really wanted the fuschia casebound planner because the designers used the most amazing fonts.  There were two at my local Target but both damaged.

So you can imagine my delight when I saw the announcement of Sugar Paper’s collaboration with J. Crew.  The collection includes cards, coasters, place cards among other goodies.  I am so thrilled for 2014 to the year of gold!

The House of Gray Malin Photography is one of my favorite photographers. Once I finish decorating my family room, I am going to buy one of his photos for above our sectional.  Until then, I downloaded this free wallpaper.  The images are for iPhones only but I was able to adjust and use for my Droid.

I haven’t been blogging lately and it’s because of pain.  Physical pain. I have tendinitis in my arm and my doctor ordered physical therapy three times a week.  It’s not the way that I wanted to start the New Year but I am trying to remain optimistic.

While all of Chicago is suffering with this Arctic weather we are experiencing, I can only dream of warmer weather. The amazing Balmain campaign for Spring Summer 2014 featuring RiRi is nothing short of fabulous and making me count the days until the seasons change.

I wrote a column for the Women’s Forum about Winter Weddings: What Every Bride Should Consider.  It was such an honor to be asked to write the article!  Please check it out!

Have you heard of Second City Club?  It’s a food and wine club in Chicago. The next event looks to pretty fab and I’m totally bummed that I have a work conflict.  If you are interested in joining, drop me a line.

I have been a fan of Alessandra Branca every since finding her now closed boutique near Water Tower.  She was recently selected to design the Designer Visions 2013 for Elle Decor, which has a great video that shows off the tented dining room (seriously, I’m dying over here) and fabric walls much better than the magazine feature. Dering Hall has the photos from the Elle Decor photo shoot as well as the ability to buy some of the products.

I am busy catching up after a week in NYC followed by an amazing wedding at Salvage One.  Here’s a list of my favorite things right now!

Lucky FABB was amazing!  The conference was invigorating and the swag was phenomenal. I was also able to meet Jean Godfrey-June, which was the highlight of the conference for me. The other highlight of the conference was spending the second day in the famous Conde Nast building.

I rented a great flat in Nolita with my friend Lisa, who lives in England.  We shopped in Soho, did some sight seeing, and shopped as much as we could.  The trip was totally refreshing and I’m ready for my final stretch of weddings!

(Thrilled to be meeting jean godfrey-june; Posing in front of the Conde Nast building.)

Before I left for NYC, I popped over to Goldplaited, a new finishing salon in Lincoln Park.  I love getting blow-outs but it felt oh so indulgent to also get my make-up done. The owners are super cute sisters that recently moved to Chicago.

The salon is offering a promotion on Gilt City Chicago for a blow-out and make-up application for a mere $45. Check out the special offer; it ends tomorrow!  (By the way, did you notice the model? I happened to be there the day that Gilt City was photographing the space.)

I am obsessed with my Mega Tote by Snapsac.  At 28″ wide, it is perfect for a beach bag, carry-on, or even as a weekend bag.  I also think it makes a great gift for bridesmaids.  Too often, I see girls trying to squish their belonging into a cute little bag that is way too small.  Admit it, you need the 28″ mega tote on a wedding day!

We just finished our fall family photos and I’m on the hunt for the perfect holiday cards.  My all time favorite were the ones that I sent out a few years ago by Kate Spade.  They aren’t offering cards this year so I am trying to find the perfect option.  I’ve been looking at Tiny PrintsMinted, and Paperless Post.   Have any other suggestions?

Now that wedding season is coming to a close, I am going to focus on decorating my office.  I really adore this photo from Etsy and it might serve as inspiration as my color palette.

I have been busy busy busy so my deepest apologies for the lack of blogging for the last month or so.  It’s been crazy town in these parts.  Between a gaggle of weddings, I attended the Grand Opening of the Elles by Gilles Bensimon exhibit at the Sofitel Chicago. It’s amazing; so you if you love fashion and art, stop in before September 25th.

Did you notice the new button on the right?  I’m going to ALT in January.  If you haven’t heard of ALT, it is the largest conference for Bloggers.  I am so excited!

I am also thrilled to announce that we are getting published in Hostess with the Mostess. I cannot wait to share the post with you.  It’s my first venture into non-weddings!

Last night was spent working.  Sadly, I missed the VMA’s.  I didn’t see the performance but I felt like I did after seeing this on Buzzfeed.

What the hell was Miley thinking?

I crossed something of my “In My Life” list:  I met Lazaro!  He was in town for a trunk show at Bella Bianca.  The fabulous ladies there hosted an intimate party in his honor at their Gold Coast location. It was so thrilling.

I just read a great article on why you should have an Unplugged Wedding.  I agree: Leave the photos to the professionals!

This photo came from one of my favorite Pinterest boards of all time, My Imaginary Well-Dressed Toddler Daughter.

BHLDN is having a summer sale with up to 70% off!

Molly Grace from Vrai shot a recent Honey Bee wedding.  We cannot wait to see the full gallery!

My will to blog is being tested by Blogger.  For some unknown reason, Blogger keeps deleting my photos.  Loyal to a fault, I may have to leave Google for Word Press.
