An Ode to Pantone’s Color of the Year

O, Ultraviolet, the color of the year,

Inventive and imaginative – that’s you, my dear.

Pantone
Provocative and thoughtful throughout,

We know you are the wedding trend to bring out.

O, Ultraviolet, complex and contemplative as you are,

We want you in everything, from the bouquet to the dessert bar.

With your artistic expression and spiritual reflection,

We can even see you in our confections.

O, Ultraviolet, you can decorate everything in the venue,

Kesh Events

Or accent small things, like just the menus.

Elegant Wedding Invites
We can place you with the dresses and the shoes,

Badgley Mischka
We can even color the booze.

Monin Violette
O, Ultraviolet, we know you are here to stay,

So why don’t we get started designing you today?

All Things Marsala!

Last month, Pantone announced Marsala as the 2015 Color of the Year. We couldn’t be more delighted! There are so many elegant ways to incorporate this stylish hue into your wedding, look below for just a few of our favorites.

Don’t you love how creative you can be with Marsala colored flowers?

Whether a fun shoe accent, a killer bridesmaid dress, or even your wedding dress, marsala is a bold and elegant choice!

From candles to cakes to invites – you really can’t go wrong with a color like marsala!

For more marsala inspiration, we have a couple of blogs to recommend. We love all of the fashion choices on CeciStyle and the whimsical floral centerpieces found on Xaazablog.

A True Gem of a Color!

Pantone has released the color of the year for 2013!  I am very excited for Emerald and have high hopes for this color to show up everywhere next year.  If you haven’t ever heard of Pantone, the company is the leading authority on color.

I haven’t had time to do a full pinterest board but plan on working on that next week!  It’s a busy weekend.  My husband’s holiday party is tonight at Hotel 71. Then, I have my last wedding of the year tomorrow.  I am so excited to work at Room 1520!  On Sunday, we continue our family tradition of making coffee cake for friends.

Have a great weekend!

Color Me Pretty

Pantone is the world-renowned authority on color. For more than 40 years, Pantone has been inspiring design professionals with products, services and leading technology for the colorful exploration and expression of creativity.

Pantone has this amazing tool called myColor my Idea. It allows you to post your color schemes online as well as peruse ideas from others. They also have celebrities, like Patricia Field, design a color.

I love colors. In fact, picking my color scheme was quite an ordeal. My plan to do a monochromatic color scheme is not something you see that often. A great tool is myPANTONE! I was lucky enough to be able to use a specific Pantone color for my wedding invitations and ceremony programs. We used 7-o4-U, a deep scarlet color.
