Honey Bridal Grand Opening

Honey Bee Weddings was delighted to attend the grand opening of Honey Bridal, the new sister store to Milk Handmade. The event showcased many of the beautiful dresses that were curated and selected by owners Dana Borden Karlov and Hallie Borden. 


The salon’s petite size means that each bride gets the store to herself when an appointment is made. Every dress in the salon was created by an independent designer! The designers include Tara LaTour, & FOR LOVE, and Tatyana Merenyuk. 


The talented bakers at Sugar Hills Bakery created a lavender-themed dessert bar that went perfectly with the cool color tones of the room. 


Guests sampled cocktails and desserts while treating themselves to the braid and makeup bars located in the salon fitting rooms. Everyone commemorated the occasion with pictures from the open air photo booth provided by Fotio. 

This event was so much fun to attend. We wish this fun, new salon the best of luck!

Virtual Magazine Shopping with Martha Stewart Weddings and Revel

I’m a major collector of magazines, so you can only imagine the stacks and stacks of magazines that I have piled in my home. The one thing that I find frustrating is the actual shopping of a magazine. How do I purchase that spectacular dress on page 67 if I cannot find a way to buy it?


When I found out about what Martha Stewart Weddings had been up to, I couldn’t contain my excitement. Recently, Martha Stewart Weddings paired up with REVEL so that readers could log on and shop the issue, cover to cover!

Neiman Marcus + Target Holiday Collection is genius!

Today was the big day for the Target and Neiman Marcus Collection! I was not disappointed.  I wrote about the collection in late October and it really lived up to my expectations.

I updated my Pinterest board with the winners and losers of the collection.  Overall, I would say that the entire collection is AMAZING. I really wish that I could have bought it all…although I came very close! 

Below are  three of my favorites of the day.

The quality is outstanding and looks very chic in my living room.

Neiman Marcus + Target Holiday Collection. I want it all!

I am so not even close to tiring of these limited edition collections that designers are doing for stores.  But my all time favorite (can anything beat Missoni for Target?) might be arriving on December 1st.  Neiman Marcus is offering a Holiday Collection for Target.  Let me say that one more time:  

Neiman Marcus and Target, together!  


Both of these stores are loved equally in my heart.  Neiman Marcus is an exquisite department store with amazing customer service while Target seamlessly blends functionality and fashion together.  The collaboration of both stores is pure genius.

The 55 piece holiday collection, which you can see in it’s entirety at Refinery 29, is AMAZING!  Seriously, I am trying to find a way to re-purpose the Oscar de la Renta pet bowl seeing as I don’t own a pet.  And wrapping paper!  Oh, and I will also take a dress for me and a dress for my daughter.

I love each and every item because they are all oh- so- fabulous but also because the collection is curated in such a way that it reminds me of the Neiman Marcus holiday catalog.  If you aren’t familiar with the holiday catalog,  you are missing out on a true voyeuristic pleasure.  I write voyeur because really, how many of “us” can afford the special edition McLaren offered this year?  Well, I can tell you:  A dozen as the car sold out within two hours.



36 days until I’m in line at my local Target at 9AM to stalk the shelves.  I hope to get ever single item on my wish list!
