Elizabeth + Mark’s Wedding

Elizabeth and Mark’s had a beautifully elegant wedding at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and a reception at the Standard Club. The maroon, pink and green flower color palette was a smart choice for the fall wedding.

It was such a pleasure to apart of Elizabeth and Mark’s special day!

Rebecca + Adam’s Modern Wing Reception

I always love that my career let’s me be an integral part of a couple’s wedding day. However, some weddings are closer to me than others. When the wedding is one of your coordinators, it really feels special.

Rebecca and Adam were married at St. James Chapel and hosted their reception in the Griffin Court at the Art Institute Chicago. Rebecca wanted a classic bride look ala Grace Kelly with long sleeves and lace but the station style wedding was completely modern.  Rebecca has been with Honey Bee Weddings for four years and used great cast of vendors. The color palette was white, gold and black– the bricks of gold on the bar were divine.

Kristina + Vytas

Kristina and Vytas had such a beautiful wedding. The charm was in the details, from the bride wearing her Mother’s gown to all of the Lithuanian traditions.  Dennis Lee Photography caught all of the lovely little things that made the day special!

After the ceremony, the bridal party took photos on the golf course at the Silver Lake Country Club, and then everyone proceeded to party!

I had such a great time helping Kristina and Vytas make their wedding day as spectacular and vibrant as it turned out to be. Everyone loved the celebration, and the newlyweds could not have been happier.

Lizzie + Chase

Lizzie and Chase are a fantastic couple! I feel so lucky that I was apart of their wedding day. Planning the big event was such fun with Lizzie’s keen design eye.  The couple had a wonderful day that flew by in the blink of an eye.  Steve Koo was right in the middle of the action, documenting the whole thing.

After the grand bubble-laden ceremony exit, the newlyweds and their bridal party traversed the city for pictures, and then everyone met up at The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum for the reception.

The sign of a great wedding is when the end of the night comes and people don’t want the party to stop. That is exactly what happened when Lizzie and Chase’s special day came to a close. The couple and their guests had a fantastic time, and the night proved to be absolutely unforgettable.

Jessica + J.T.: The Reception at Galleria Marchetti

Yesterday, I posted the first part of Jessica and J.T.’s wedding.  Today’s post is dedicated to their beautiful reception at Galleria Marchetti.

All photo by Redwall Photography.

Galleria Marchetti is a hidden gem in the city.

The room looked stunning with the dramatic centerpieces by Scarlet Petal.

The first centerpiece was a round and lush sphere of flowers that included hydrangea, roses, cushion poms, and hypericum berries held in a tall and slender hourglass vase with a few hanging crystals as accent.

The second centerpiece was a trio of mercury glass pedastals that displayed pillar candles encased in glass hurricanes.  Surrounding the trio of candles was three mint julep cups containing more green hydrangeas, roses, and tulips.

The escort card table was simply beautiful.  There was a series of five cylinder vessels in varying heights that displayed groupings of blush pink and celadon hydrangeas with the prettiest pink escort cards that I have ever see!

Can we take one more look at those escort cards?  I love the POP of pink!

One very delicious cake by Amy Beck that included devil’s food chocolate and vanilla cake on alternating layers.

Scarlet Petal accented the cake with fresh flowers.

The ladies put their bouquets in vases on the head table.

Both Jessica and J.T. loved the Devil’s Food cake!

As the evening continued, there were a few toasts.

And then the dancing began courtesy of Dan Hayes Orchestra!

Congratulations to a very fun couple!  I wish all of the best in your future together.

Connie + Brian: Morning and the Ceremonies

My first meeting with Connie and Brian was over the phone.  They lived in New York City and were looking for a Chicago based planner.  I was really in awe (and impressed) when they told me that they met in high school.  I have friends that have been married for ten years that are high school sweethearts but I have never planned a wedding for a pair!

Many months later, it was the big day.  Connie looked so beautiful and the couple looked like they were having so much fun.  It was a wonderful wedding and I was so glad to be apart of it.

Do you get pampered any day like your wedding day?

Connie puts on a bit more lipstick before heading out the door to meet Brian.

A stunning bridal portrait.

The Bride and Groom take a few photos after their first look.

I love this photo downtown.  I’ve never seen a shot like this before and simply love it.

The fine gents.

Back at the church, the ushers are ready to go.

Moments before she walks down the aisle, Connie has a laugh with her Dad.

I love that the photographer caught Brian looking at Connie.

After the ceremony, everyone headed to the Modern Wing for the Korean Ceremony.

Tomorrow, we will have more photos of the couple and their reception!

Armin + Mike: Getting Ready

I am so excited to blog about this beautiful, October wedding! When I first met Armin and her mother, they had about 90% of everything planned and needed help with the final touches.  I am so glad I was able to help out and be a part of the day! It was my last wedding of the season and it was a perfect way to end the year.

Ceremony + Reception: Loyola University
Dj: Style Matters
Florists: Poppy
Hair: Liv Caporale
Make-Up: Sonia Roselli
Videographer: I Do Films
Cake: Oak Mill Bakery

All photos taken by Averyhouse.

Armin bought her own font for all the stationary and this sign was hanging on the front door of her apartment.

This dress was stunning!

It’s always nice to have your bridesmaids help put on the dress.
The Bride taking her first look at herself all ready to go.

Armin picked classic fall colors with a pop of turquoise. The flowers were perfect!

The bouquet full of garden roses.

Before Armin left to see Mike, she shared a sweet moment with her mother.

In the meantime, Mike was getting ready at the hotel.

Armin and Mike during their first look at Olive Park.

First looks are such a good way to have a few private moments like this one.

Then it was BP picture time.

A great city shot of the entire group. One of Armin’s desires was to get a skyline shot. I think this one is perfect.

Next, I will post about the beautiful ceremony and reception.
