Wedding Blog

I recently had a reader send me her blog, Mr. Jazz Man’s Ring. The blog is to help sell CDs of her fiance’s music so that he would be able to “happily and willingly” buy her a ring.

Apparently, my reader isn’t a long time reader. I don’t really think a ring is necessary to to be engaged. In fact, my ring finger has remained naked during our entire engagement.

I am not one to really judge or criticize others. So I decided to share it with my readers. What do you think? Would you help someone so that they could buy an engagement ring?

My new favorite blog

My new favorite blog is the The Bride’s Cafe. As an industry insider, Janie Medley from Flora Designs finds the best stuff for her blog. I’ve already found some great ideas to steal.

Here are some of my favorites:

What a beautiful vessel to keep your guests wishes!

While I’ll be using a photo cardbox, I think this is much more visually stunning! Even if your floral budget is small, this would be a relatively inexpensive way to have a huge impact for all of your guests.

I might have to use this for my own wedding! I really want pretty labels for the candy buffet. This is the neatest label that I’ve seen.

If we had kept with Plan #569 of having an Indian influenced wedding, I would have loved this as a Groom’s Cake. My fiance double majored in college- religious studies and computer science- so I think he would have enjoyed the Buddha. Besides, it would remind us of our trip to Thailand.

Welcome to my new Blog!

Blogspot is my new home!

I moved my blog over here to Blogspot from the Knot. To be honest, I was a little frustrated by the limitations of knot blogs.

Unfortunately, my pictures did not transfer over so well. Some of the images cut off and aren’t formatted properly. To fix all of the posts, I would need to spend hours. While I’m a dedicated blogger, I simply don’t have the time.

If there is an image you would like to see better, let me know.

Wedding Blog Addiction

My new favorite pasttime for endless web surfing is wedding websites. At first, I checked out Wedding Channel and The Knot. While I’m a die-hard knottie, there are a ton of other websites that help me feed my addiction. Here are my top picks:

  1. Faye & Greer
  2. Style Me Pretty
  3. Wedding Bee
  4. Martha Stewart
  5. Perfect Bound
  6. Magnificent Bliss
  7. InStyle Weddings
  8. Get Married
  9. Project Wedding
  10. I love weddings

I love looking at them for inspiration. Here are some recent pics that I absolutely love…
