BHLDN Launches Dreamy Fall 2015 Collection

BHLDN recently launched their 2014 Fall Collection.  I am really inspired by the gowns especially the various lengths.  In the past few years, more brides are selecting a gown that is other than floor length. I am especially fond of tea length like the Bianca; I think it looks positively dreamy!

While many brides are not comfortable with wearing a short frock, they are a great option for the dancing portion of the evening.  Mermaid gowns make a statement but it is hard to get down on the dance floor when you are so constricted. Short dresses are also fun for an after party!

Custom Wedding Gown Portraits by Diane Bronstein

I’ve seen many different ways brides remember their big day, from framing and mounting their wedding dresses to printing vows onto canvas. But if you’re looking for another super sweet option to commemorate your day, Custom Wedding Gown Portraits by Diane Brontein is the perfect option.

All Diane requires is a photo of the bride in her gown, (camera phone quality allowed!) and she can create beautiful keepsakes, like the one above. I love the softness of these paintings, they just seem so timeless. Click here to see more images. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Origami Perfection

This one shoulder silk dress by Carmen Marc is making me swoon.  I love the origami pleats on the bodice of the gown.  Although I tend to not like simple gowns (or flowers or anything, really!), I just love this dress.

Nordstrom has been doing an amazing job with The Wedding Suite.  I cannot wait to see what is being planned for 2013!

Let’s dance!

I recently had a lovely bride that couldn’t dance very well in her gown.  If only she had this frock, then she could have really been able to cut a rug.  I would like to point out that the model is 5’11” so most brides would get a tad more coverage.  The dress is available at bhldn.

I love you Sarah Janks.

Sarah Janks has the most amazing collection of bridal gowns that I have seen in a very long time. I am swooning; these are simply gorgeous.  I have selected a few of my favorite gowns by this Sydney based designer.

Bow, lace, tulle equals fabulous.  I haven’t seen anything like this and am in total love.

Can this come in blush?  Because this could become my new go-to frock.
I am loving that high neckline.

My name is Misse Daniel and I am obsessed with bows.  But what I am obsessed with is the skirt.  It suggests a casual elegance that would work perfectly for a certain type of wedding.  I could plan a wedding just around this gown.  I am actually dreaming up the wedding (down to the escort cards) based on this gown.

Abby + Scott: The Morning and Ceremony at Assumption

Poor Scott.  During the planning process, Abby and I were so often on the same page that I felt bad for the guy.  Back to Abby.  She loved red.  And while there are people that like red, there are only a few people that LOVE red as much as me.  And, she wasn’t afraid of more.  In an age where the word “simple” is often over used, it was music to my ears to hear the word “more”.  I had the absolute best time planning with this couple.

I simply adored Abby’s gown by Lazaro.

Isn’t the detail on the belt exquisite?

Right before the bride walks down the aisle. There’s no bridal suite at Assumption so the bride walks in from her vehicle.

The bride with her lovely parents.  Her Dad was so nice the entire time, she is a lucky girl!

Red shoes for the bridesmaids.  I swear, I love everything about Abby’s style.

Assumption is just one of many gorgeous churches in Chicago!

My Favorite Dress This Season

I fell in love the first time that I saw this dress.  It is such a lovely gown…and it has polka dots!  So you can imagine by delight when I saw the dress, in person on Saturday.  I cannot wait to share the details of the wedding.  The Bride simply glowed!  Until then, I leave you with photos from the runway of Maribel.

Armin + Mike: Getting Ready

I am so excited to blog about this beautiful, October wedding! When I first met Armin and her mother, they had about 90% of everything planned and needed help with the final touches.  I am so glad I was able to help out and be a part of the day! It was my last wedding of the season and it was a perfect way to end the year.

Ceremony + Reception: Loyola University

Armin bought her own font for all the stationary and this sign was hanging on the front door of her apartment.

This dress was stunning!

It’s always nice to have your bridesmaids help put on the dress.

Armin picked classic fall colors with a pop of turquoise. The flowers were perfect!

The bouquet full of garden roses.

Before Armin left to see Mike, she shared a sweet moment with her mother.

In the meantime, Mike was getting ready at the hotel.

First looks are such a good way to have a few private moments like this one.

Then it was BP picture time.

A great city shot of the entire group. One of Armin’s desires was to get a skyline shot. I think this one is perfect.

Next, I will post about the beautiful ceremony and reception.

Laura + Mark: Part 1

As we mentioned a few weeks ago, Laura and Mark were featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs.  Laura and Mark wanted a gorgeous weddings with a modern feel.  I can’t think of a better venue than The Modern Wing.  The clean lines really created a beautiful wedding!

I adore the hairpin!

Modern traditionalism: you can’t go wrong with Manolo Blahnik!

Classic peals?  After just a few photos, Laura’s style is so apparent!

I adore any sort of embellishment but this is really gorgeous!
Laura’s gown at the Elysian (now the Waldorf Astoria).

Such a gorgeous bouquet, thanks to Larkspur!
